The Johannesburg Development Agency aims to transform Joburg through growing competitive business environments, improving public spaces and promoting access to jobs.

The innovative Johannesburg Development Agency (JDA) was established in April 2001 to revive economic activity throughout the city. The JDA initiates and supports area-based economic development initiatives throughout the Johannesburg metropolitan municipality in support of the City’s Growth and Development Strategy, Joburg 2040 (GDS).
