The innovative Johannesburg Development Agency (JDA) was established in April 2001 to revive economic activity throughout the city. The JDA initiates and supports area-based economic development initiatives throughout the Johannesburg metropolitan municipality in support of the City’s Growth and Development Strategy, Joburg 2040 (GDS).
