Johannesburg International Transport Interchange
- As highlighted in the SDF 2040 Roodeport as secondary Metropolitan Sub-Centres that have a similar strong relationship to the Principal Metropolitan Sub-centres would be targeted for future economic growth.
- The Roodepoort central business district (CBD), has experiences infrastructural decay in recent years.
- The planning for a revitalisation strategy for the Roodeport CBD is to begin in 2017/18. There is however, very little capex allocated to this project in the outer years. Other current CBD Revitalisation sites include the Randburg CBD.
- While Roodeport CBD remains a priority node in various City documents and strategies, the reality is that other than some social housing, very little attention has been paid to the area.
