EXECUTIVE SUPPORT: CORPORATE SERVICES

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION: Reporting to the Executive Manager of Corporate Services to provide
administrative and secretarial support to the EM: Corporate Services, administer projects and activities of
highly responsible and confidential nature and ensure the smooth running of the EMCS’s Office.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS: The role will provide administrative and secretarial support in managing the
diary and scheduling of EMCS’s meetings, conferences, and teleconferences so that there is an effective use
of the EMCS’s time. Manage the entire administration for the Office of the EMCS. Assist the EMCS in carrying
out personal tasks. Screen incoming telephone calls, take detailed messages, and attend to telephone queries
and emails on behalf of the EMCS. To compile data, statistics, and other information. Prepare documents
(memos, presentations, minutes, reports and more) for review and presentation at the relevant Committees
and EXCO. Maintain an updated document management system to safeguard information and retrieve records
when required. Handle and coordinate all Projects related administration for the EMCS’s office.

Education and experience required: Minimum relevant Secretarial/ Office Administration Diploma or
Certificate (NQF Level 5) or equivalent.
· Bachelor’s degree in business administration will be advantageous.
· Minimum of 5 years of secretarial or administrative experience in the office of Executive or at Senior Manager
level.

SENIOR INTERNAL AUDITOR

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION: Reporting to the Senior Manager: Internal Audit the role will coordinate and
lead the review, evaluation as well as reporting on internal controls, processes, policies, and mechanisms
to ensure that they are adequate, effective and in compliance with regulatory principles, standards, and
guidelines.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS: The role will be responsible for leading the execution of planned and ad
hoc audits as assigned. The Senior Auditor will monitor their task and that of Internal auditors and Trainees.
Prepare draft engagement letters for review and approval by Senior Manager: Internal Audit. Prepare the
audit programmes. Lead the identification of factors causing deficiency conditions and recommend courses of
action to improve the conditions. Lead the analysis of documents, apply tests, and prepare working papers.
Supervise the preparation of the Risk and Control Matrix. Test the effectiveness and efficiency of controls by
inspecting documents, observing processes, performing recalculations and analysis of documentation. Review
working papers of internal auditors and trainees and supervise the work of internal auditors and trainees. Then
coordinate complete paperwork and check the quality before review by the Senior Manager: Internal Audit.
Prepare preliminary audit findings in an informal query sheet. Then highlight internal control weaknesses, risks,
and recommendations. Consult with management on the appropriateness of potential control for procedural
changes and the possible impact on the current/future control environment. Keep abreast of trends, theories
and practices underlying the rendering of service. Ensure completeness of audit file upon completion of an
audit. Perform probity audits on the procurement process. Perform execution of ad hoc audits as may be
allocated.

Education and experience required:
· Minimum 5-7years’ experience in the Audit environment, public sector experience
· Experience in the municipal environment will be advantageous
· Degree in Internal Auditing/Finance/Accounting or equivalent (NQF Level 7)
· Completed Internal Audit Technician programme
· Member of the Institute of Internal Auditors
· Sound knowledge of PFMA, MFMA, MSA, Treasury Regulations and IIA standards
· Sound knowledge of internal audit methodologies, tools, systems, and procedures
· Sound knowledge of Risk Management Framework and King Code

SENIOR MANAGER: INTERNAL AUDITOR

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION: Reporting to the Chief Audit Executive, the role will maintain and implement
audit measures to minimize risk while ensuring maximum compliance with applicable legislation and
regulations within the Johannesburg Development Agency.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS: The role will be responsible for providing input in developing an Annual
Audit Plan and three-Year Strategic Plan for financial, operational and ICT audits • Provide supervision on the
100% Completion of the approved Internal Audit Plan. Assurance: Provide input and ensure that planning
for Audits is quarterly and in advance and resources are correctly allocated based on skills required and
availability. •Audit Planning: Manage the Implementation of the annual audit plan per project as approved
by the Audit Committee, encompassing resource planning, project scoping, budget and time planning, and
stakeholder engagement. •Audit Execution: Lead the execution of audits in line with regulations, audit scope
and objectives • Special requests/Ad hoc audits: Perform execution of ad hoc audits as may be requested by
CEO/Audit Committee/Board. • Audit Reporting: Prepare draft audit reports. Communication of final internal
reports to management. • Probity Audit: Conduct Probity Reviews on the Procurement process. • Quality
Assurance: Management of Compliance with Audit Methodology and Standards. Review all audit working
papers to ensure complete and adequate execution of the audit procedures. • Manage the monitoring of
compliance with established internal control procedures by examining records, reports, operating practices,
and documentation. People Management and Operational Leadership. Effective Contract Management of the
internal audit service providers.• Engage the EXCO, Sub-Committee Members and Chairpersons, and AGSA
Management on internal control, risk management and governance processes.

Education and experience required:
· Minimum Degree in Internal Auditing/Finance/Accounting or equivalent (NQF Level 7)
· Member of the Institute of Internal Auditors Minimum 7-10 years’ experience in the Internal Audit environment,
of which three years must be at the Managerial level managing audit deliverables.
· Completed/studying towards CIA or CISA will be an added advantage
· Qualification in management studies will be an added advantage
· Extensive knowledge of PFMA, MFMA, MSA, Treasury Regulations and IIA standards
· Extensive knowledge of internal audit methodologies, tools, systems, and procedures
· Extensive knowledge of Risk Management Framework and King Code
· Advanced MS Word and EXCEL skills
· Valid driver’s license
