As part of the City of Joburg’s Rea Vaya Bus Rapid Transit Phase 1C project, the Johannesburg Development Agency (JDA) will begin the construction of the BRT stations in the Gandhi Square Precinct on behalf of the City of Johannesburg’s Transport Department.
The Rea Vaya Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) system is already responsible for transporting tens of thousands of passengers daily. The Gandhi Square precinct is a well-connected transportation hub, with public transportation options including Metrobus, Gautrain Bus, and taxis.
It is also home to many A-grade high-rise corporate office buildings and is a popular tourist attraction and a busy urban hub.
