Westbury Park & Pedestrian Bridge open for use by the community

The Johannesburg Development Agency (JDA) announced that it completed construction works on the Westbury Pedestrian Bridge and Park project on behalf of the City of Johannesburg. The bridge and the park will be open for use by the community from today, 15 December 2016. An official launch of the project will take place year. The Westbury Pedestrian Bridge and Park project is located on Fuel Road and the Park is on Kretchmar Street.

Bothlabela flats occupation of flats by approved buyers

The Johannesburg Development Agency (JDA), implementers of the Alexandra Renewal Project (ARP), is handing over a further 73 flats in the Tsepong Complex in Alexandra to approved purchasers. The Tsepong Complex forms part of the Botlhabela Phase 2, a housing settlement project which is being implemented as part of the ARP. On 13 June 2016, 27 flats were handed over a complex called Kgothatsong as part of Botlhabela Phase 1.

The Sandpruit Bridge opened to traffic on 1st November 2016. Traffic around the Grayston Drive and Kathreine Street in Sandton, Marlboro Drive, Alexandra and neighbouring suburbs has been a challenge for many years and negatively affecting communities living in the areas and also those who commute and work around those areas.
