The implementation of - Watt Street Precinct project commences

The Watt Interchange project is scheduled to start in April 2018. The Johannesburg Development Agency’s on behalf of the City of Johannesburg will commence with the construction of the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) system, from Arkwright Avenue to Chadwick Avenue along Old Pretoria Road.

Call for proposals to host a #JoziWalks2018 sponsored walk

After a successful launch in June 2017, where over 300 people took part in free communityled walks in more than a dozen different Joburg neighbourhoods including Hillbrow, Orange Grove, Noordgesig, Diepsloot and Alexandra, Walk My Jozi is now back for a second year!

#JoziWalks is a series of JDA sponsored walking tours that was initiated with the purpose of giving voice to local communities and encouraging Joburgers to walk their neighbourhoods and create conversations about neighbourhood issues.

Westdene Dam Precinct Interventions / NMT

The Communities of Westdene, Sophia Town, Auckland Park and Melville, will benefit from the completion of the Westdene Dam Precinct NMT project by the JDA on behalf of the City of Johannesburg. Westdene Dam project is part of the Empire Perth Corridor, Non-Motorised Transport (NMT) project that improves pedestrian mobility and connectivity in particular connecting to the Westdene and the Rea Vaya Phase 2 trunk route.
