Ochards clinic update: Remedial works to commence in 2018

The Johannesburg Development Agency (JDA) suspended construction works at the Orchards Clinic, Orange Grove earlier this year, following allegations of structural under-design by the appointed engineer. An independent engineer was appointed in March 2017 to investigate the validity of the allegations. The investigation was completed in August 2017. The findings revealed that some of the structural members of the building such as beams and columns for the basement were under-designed.

Soweto to have its next Centralised Business District in Jabulani

Jabulani precinct, a mere concept just a few years ago, is fast becoming a reality. The latest initiative, which will be undertaken by the Johannesburg Development Agency (JDA), includes the creation of a transit orientated development that will further unlock the Jabulani node into a viable central business district.

Westbury Park & Pedestrian Bridge open for use by the community

The Johannesburg Development Agency (JDA) announced that it completed construction works on the Westbury Pedestrian Bridge and Park project on behalf of the City of Johannesburg. The bridge and the park will be open for use by the community from today, 15 December 2016. An official launch of the project will take place year. The Westbury Pedestrian Bridge and Park project is located on Fuel Road and the Park is on Kretchmar Street.
